Target Heart Rate Calculator

This calculator is based on the Karvonen Formula. The Karvonen Formula is the preferred method of calculating target heart rate range because it takes in to consideration your resting heart rate. Two people of the same age but different fitness levels will have different resting heart rates, and therefore should strive to exercise at different levels. Please enter the following information to see your recommended heart range:

In order to maximize the results you get from your workouts, it's critical that you work out effectively. The easiest way to measure this is by wearing a heart rate monitor. A thin strap is worn around your chest, along with a wristwatch that displays your heartbeats per minute. With your doctor's approval, your goal should be to keep your heart rate between 60 and 80 percent for the duration of your workout. 30 Minutes three or four times a week (combined with my meal plan) will give you great results!
